In May Lynn Flewelling, the author of the Nightrunner Series (who happens to have her blog on LJ (otterdance) announced that she was going to make a chapbook with short stories of some missing scenes and backgrounds of her characters. That was great news as I've been in love with Seregil and Alec for years now!! But that was not all. She also intended to include illustrations from her fans for the book and held a contest.
Some time ago she announced the winners and I was overjoyed to see my name on the list!!

The book is already available online and will be soon at Amazon.
Here is my illustration for the story about how Seregil and Nysander met! I got a little description of a scene, but have not yet read the story. I don't know how fitting the illustration is but I hope for the best! ;)

Today the hp_art_project updated their website after a long break and I think that's the perfect occasion to show you the piece I came up with. It was back in 2008 but I was lucky and got assigned one of the most exciting chapters from the last book "The Prince's Tale".

Although I have improved with my painting technique I still really like the expression on Snape's face. I hope the project will have a happy ending!

Aside from HP fanart I didsomething for the Silmarillion! Back in April oloriel requested a drawing from Eärendil as a birthday present:

I have something else to show but I'm waiting for the final announcement! It's actually pretty exciting! I hope I'll be able to reveal it soon! :-)

What better way to restart this journal than a new piece of Harry Potter fanart?!

The forest againCollapse )

I haven't been around for more than 3 years and actually thought (more than once) about deleting this account. As you can see, I've changed my mind and plan to bring this art journal back to life! I enjoy doing fanart too much and this has always been the best place to share it with others.

I don't really want to write about all that has happened in those 3 years, you're here for the art anyway, but I'd like to share some basic information and this improvement meme I keep seeing at DeviantArt is probably the best way to update everyone on what I've been doing and how my art has developed. (Thanks to oloriel, who finally convinced me to give it a try)

I'll be back soon with new fanart!
Have a nice Weekend!

Another illustration for the Deathly Hallows.

I've always liked Hermione in the books, but in this book I really began to admire her. Without her Harry would have been lost.
And she stayed with him, and suffered.

media: pencil & watercolours

Under the influence of the 5th movie I was able to do some fanart again. *squee*

At Bill & Fleur's wedding: Poor Harry & Ginny. I hope this scene will be in the 7th book.
Enjoy!

I've not drawn anything lately, but I have some older fanart to show you:

First a commission piece for seaislewitch for one of her fanfictions which can be found here: romance_slythrn.
It's an older piece from december.

Oh, she still draws!

It's been a long time, but I finally finished something again and I thought I could show it to you.
Done for a contest on DA. It's an interpretation of someones imagination of 'Night', as a man.
